This song is somewhat self-explanatory. We all need love and appreciation. Unfortunately, not everyone has plentiful external sources from which to receive that, and even if you do, it is very unlikely that those sources always provide you with the exact kind of love and appreciation that you need.

The only person that can know exactly what you’re feeling and thinking and needing is you. The only person that can always provide you with love and appreciation when you want and how you want it is you.

Be that person for you. You’ll find it a hell of a lot easier to live your own truth out in the light.
